As we look forward to another busy year, there's no better time to celebrate our achievements- and in 2024, Omnia Projects had plenty to shout about! Before we go full steam ahead on 2025, let’s take one last walk through seven brilliant benchmarks which ilustrate the exciting, ambitious and downright incredible progress that Omnia’s made over the last 12 months. So, here goes:
As the UK’s most trusted engineering consultancy, it’s no surprise that we were in high demand in 2024. Omnia Projects is now lucky enough to employ a diverse crack-team of experienced engineers, innovative project managers, diligent administrators, and a whole host of indispensable professionals based all around the UK. After the success of the Omnia Academy in 2023, we expanded our intake for September 2024. These ambitious recruits have since trained alongside Omnia’s most experienced engineers, started studying for their HNC qualifications, and played an active role in some of the UK’s most cutting-edge energy sector projects. More staff means more offices, and in 2024, we went big! We opened our Cheshire office in one of the North West’s most desirable locations, relocated our Stafford Office to the Stafford Enterprise Park, and expanded our footprint at our Head Office in Northallerton; in short, we’ve done all we can to make sure that we’re taking care of our greatest asset- our staff.
We believe in practicing what we preach, so in February 2024, we took a step towards sustainability with the launch of our electric car scheme. Omnia’s aim is to reduce our carbon emissions by 50% by 2035, and achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040- this helps us protect our environment, and provides our employees with a simple, flexible company car scheme they can trust.
In October 2024, we officially joined the Real Living Wage scheme; this ensures that our staff are paid fairly for the hard work they do, and gives them the opportunity to enjoy the quality of life they deserve- we believe it’s important to support the everyday needs of our people, and we can't do that unless we acknowledge the rising costs of living.
In 2024, Omnia engineers found themselves at the forefront of some of the energy sector’s most exciting projects. As the UK moves ever closer to its climate goals- decarbonising its power sector by 2035, and achieving net zero by 2050- our experienced professionals were busier than ever, finding innovative solutions to the big questions surrounding Britain’s sustainable future.
Beloved by our LinkedIn followers (and who can blame them!), we saved perhaps our most ambitious 2024 development for last- LIDAR scanning! We’ve put this into practice at numerous sites around the UK, and the 3D modelling potential it offers is something that we’re excited to carry into 2025.
