In the face of global climate change and environmental degradation, businesses across the world are recognising the urgency of taking action to protect our planet. As a key player in helping the UK transition to a fully decarbonised electricity system by 2035, we are also setting an example through our commitment to significantly reduce our own carbon footprint.

Introducing the New Carbon Reduction Policy

Omnia Projects has been a steadfast advocate for sustainable business practices, and we are taking a significant step forward with the implementation of our new Carbon Reduction Policy. This policy has two key goals:

• Reducing Carbon Emissions Intensity by 50% by 2035: From our 2022 baseline, we have a 13-year timeline to cut our carbon emissions intensity by half. This ambitious but attainable goal is a signal of our serious commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
• Achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2040: Aligning with global initiatives to combat climate change, we are also targeting net zero emissions by 2040. This means that not only will we reduce our emissions, but we will also invest in technologies and practices that absorb or offset any remaining emissions.

Our Strategy to Reduce Environmental Impact

• Energy Efficiency: A cornerstone of our policy is the focus on energy efficiency across all operations. From optimising our facilities to adopting energy-saving technologies, we are paving the way towards a low-carbon future.
• Enhancing Supply Chain Sustainability: We recognise that our environmental impact extends beyond our direct operations, therefore we're collaborating with our suppliers and partners to enhance the sustainability of our entire supply chain.
• Employee Engagement and Education: We believe that every employee plays a vital role in this journey towards a more sustainable future. Through training, incentives, and a culture that supports sustainability, we are engaging our workforce in our mission to reduce our carbon footprint.
• Carbon Offsetting: We have initiated a programme to commence tree planting in our local area which in time will absorb enough carbon to offset our residual emissions. In addition to absorbing carbon, these sites will actively improve habitat and biodiversity.
